80g American crystal 20L
80g British crystal 135-165L
15g American chocolate
15g Roasted barley
30g Flaked barley
120g Flaked corn
Mash: 76% efficiency
90 min, 65°C
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.036 18 liters
Irish Moss
Hop additions are :8g Mash-Hop, 12g First wort hop, 8g after whirlpool.
Hops: 18.7g Chinook (8% AA, 45 min.)
12.2g Chinook (8% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: S04 or any English Ale yeast (re-cultured Young's etc)
Carbonation: 1 Coopers Carbonation Drop per 500ml bottle.
Tasting: 1st - pleasant mild drop, good colour. Minimal hop flavour/aroma. Weak and disappearing head. Thoughts for batch #2 - more hops, less corn, no sugar.
