Hausbier II

version 2 of house beer.just a little tweeking from last time.Hops were just picked from my garden.

Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.046 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: none. city water
Grain: 10 lb. 0 oz. American 2-row
0 lb. 8 oz. British pale
1 lb. 4 oz. Belgian aromatic
1 lb. 4 oz. Belgian biscuit
1 lb. 0 oz. Flaked corn
1 lb. 0 oz. Flaked rice
Mash: 82% efficiency
bring corn and 1# of grain to 150° rest in 1.5 gallons water for 20 minutes, then slowly bring to a boil for 30 mins.dough in 3 gallons 118° water for 20 mins.add 1/2 gallon boiling water slowly to mash to 134° hold for 30 mins.add 1/2 gallon boiling water slowly to mash to 148° hold for 30 mins. add boiling corn mix slowly to mash to bring to 154° and hold for 30 mins.sparge 90 mins 170° water - 8 gallons.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.038 12 gallons
irish moss at 10 mins.
Hops: 2.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
1.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: safale 05 (2 pkgs) rehydrated in 1 qt of cooled wort.
Log: 7 days in primary. rack to 2nd w/ gelatin for 7 days.keg(force carb at 30 psi) or bottle(3/4 cup corn sugar)
Carbonation: 30 psi force carb for 3 days. serve at 10psi 40°
Tasting: great beer that wont fill ya up and you can still mow the lawn after a few....non craft beer people love this beer. I keep it on tap most of the time.
