Bitterness: 13 IBU
OG: 1.062 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: 1 tsp gypsum
Grain: 8 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
8 oz. British crystal 70-80L
4 oz. American chocolate
Steep: Add grains to cold water, swish about every 5 mins or so, remove at 190°F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.104 3 gallons
6 lb. Amber malt extract
2 lb. Corn sugar
The listed yeast clarifies rapidly, so no fining agents were added.
Hops: .75 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: WLP838 Southern German Lager - known for fast action and no harsh off flavors when fermenting up to 55°F.
Carbonation: Force carbonated to 35lbs
