Grain: 9 lb. American 6-row
8 oz. Belgian aromatic
8 oz. American crystal 60L
3 lb. American 6-row, toasted 1 Hr., @ 350
Mash: 69% efficiency
add 1.5 tbs 5.2 mash stabilzer. Mashed @ 149*F for 90min.
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.041 8.25 gallons
8 oz. Belgian candi sugar
Irish moss @ 15 minutes. 1 oz. Nugget at flame out. This is a high alpha acid hop that gives a nice subtle citrusy flavor when used for flavoring
Hops: .6 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.4 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
.4 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 15 min.)
.6 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Nugget (aroma)
Yeast: US-05
Log: Fermented @ 65 *F for 14 days. Kegged 5 gallons, and bottled 6 22oz.
will condition 2-4 weeks and then tap this puppy
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Corn Sugar: 3.75 oz. for 6 gallons @ 70°F
I am kegging most of this so I went with lite carbonation to compensate for added CO2 later
Tasting: Nice citrusy note from flavor hops. Medium body,nice and clear @ 14 days.
