Concocted on July 1st 2010 in honor of Evgeni Malkin, the best Russian in the Burg.

Beer: #71 Style: Russian Imperial Stout
Type: All grain Size: 5.2 gallons
Color:
175 HCU
Bitterness: 85 IBU
OG: 1.095 FG: 1.022
Alcohol: 9.4% v/v (7.4% w/w)
Water: Boiled tap water with 1 TBS 5.2 Mash Stabilizer and 5 tsp gypsum added.
Grain: 17 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. 4 oz. Roasted barley
6 oz. American chocolate
6 oz. Belgian Special B
8 oz. American crystal 90L
Mash: 70% efficiency
Decoction mash. 30 min at 130°F, 30 min at 153°F, 10 min at 160°F. Continuous sparge with 170°F water to attain 7.5 gal.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.076 6.5 gallons
Add Irish Moss last 15 minutes
Hops: 1 oz. Magnum (14% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Magnum (14% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Magnum (14% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: WLP007 yeast cake from a previous batch.
Log: AERATE WORT EXTREMELY WELL...
