Wild West IPA

First attempt at a West Coast style IPA with tons wonderful of citrus hop flavor.

14 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 60 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.8% v/v (5.3% w/w)
Water: San Fran tap water
Grain: 1 lb. 8 oz. American 2-row
4 oz. Wheat malt
8 oz. American crystal 40L
4 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: 50 minutes at 155°F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.111 3 gallons
8 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Simcoe (12.2% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Simcoe (12.2% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Amarillo (8.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (7.2% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs WLP001 California Ale
Carbonation: Keg on 1/29/2010.
Tasting: This came out great! Wonderful hop smell, I believe attributed to the Cascade. This is definitely a California/West Coast IPA.
