Big Pig

This beer is the big half of my first parti gyle brewing session. It's a 2x5 gallon split, using the 60%/40% method for sugars. Heavily hopped with what I found while cleaning out the freezer.

OG: 1.074 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 7.5% v/v (5.9% w/w)
Water: Fivestar 5.2 in all mash water
Grain: 10.8 lb. American 2-row
3.6 lb. British pale
.6 lb. Wheat malt
.3 lb. American crystal 90L
Mash: 65% efficiency
152F for 1 hour. Drain first 5.5 gallons. Sparge goes into Little Pig.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.067 5.5 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Glacier (7.4% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham
