Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.082 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 8.7% v/v (6.9% w/w)
Water: adjust mash ph to 5.2 with 5.2 super mash
Grain: 15 lb. Belgian Pilsner
5 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 73% efficiency
mash in 4 gals at 173* hold mash at 150* for 90mins, sparge out and collect 6 gals of wort.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.075 6 gallons
1 lb. Corn sugar
add whirlflock at 15 mins left
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: yeast was retrieved from a bottle of duvel golden ale use a starter make i/2 gal starter with 1 cup of l.dm.e.
Log: ferment at 64-to 68* let it ferment for two weeks. bottle in big bottles and leave for at least 3 months....
