American Amber bit o Bitter

Very nice dry American style bitter ale. After 1 week in the bottle I expect the Fuggle hop finish to smooth a bit as it conditions

Brewer: Londoman Email: mlondo@healthierchoice.com
Beer: American Amber bit o Bitter Style: American Amber Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
24 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 12 IBU
OG: 1.079 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 8.6% v/v (6.7% w/w)
Water: 1/2 tsp gypsum 30 min into boil
Grain: 8 oz. Belgian biscuit
1 lb. American crystal 20L
8 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
Steep: all grains steeped for 45-60 min until 160 degrees. time a bit loose due to consumption of high test sasson
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.196 2 gallons
7.5 lb. Light dry malt extract
12 oz. Corn sugar
1/2 tsp irish moss the last 15 min of boil
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs California V
Tasting: Nice hoppy American style ale with British Fuggle finish. The extra corn sugar dried it out nicely with a distinct alcohol bite. after 3 weeks in the bottle the hop finish is starting to smooth out. Next time I would bump the IBU a bit and not finish hop
