Alcohol: 4.5% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Grain: 0.24kg Caramel Pils (Belgian)
0.20kg Carafa 2
0.21kg Flaked oats
Steep: Steep grains for 30 minutes @ 155° F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.049 2 gallons
0.35kg Dark malt extract
0.60kg Light malt extract
0.12kg Lactose
Add extract when temperature reaches 185°F and sustain a rolling boil for 2-3 minutes.
NOTE: Add the lactose (110 grams) to the boil for the last 15 minutes.
Hops: 14g Hallertauer Hersbrucker (4% AA, 60 min.)
8g Hallertauer Hersbrucker (4% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Munton's Ale Yeast: Medium attenuation, low flocculation. Good all-purpose ale yeast. Optimum temp: 57°-77° F

Carbonation: 2.4 volumes Cane Sugar: 45.3g for 2 gallons @ 70°F
124 gr dark Karo for priming. 1 cup water with karo, boil for 5 min, (treat it like malt extract - keep stirring until it starts to boil) then mix it into your bottling bucket with a sanitized spoon/paddle. No need to cool it since it is such a small volume compared to what it is getting added to.
