Trogdor's extra awsome stout

this is basd on a clone brews recipe for Dragon stout.

I have not brewed this full size yet, but this is the recipe I am scaling down to a 1 gal test batch.

Brewer: mE Email: -
Beer: Trogdor's extra awsome stout Style: Foreign-Style Stout
Type: Partial mash Size: 5 gallons
Color:
131 HCU (~42 SRM)
Bitterness: 16 IBU
OG: 1.084 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 9.0% v/v (7.0% w/w)
Grain: 2 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Wheat malt
1 lb. American crystal 120L
8 oz. Belgian Special B
8 oz. American chocolate
5 oz. American black patent
2 oz. Roasted barley
8 oz. Rolled oats
Mash: 65% efficiency
Infusion mas at 155°f, teabag sparge at 180°f for 10 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.141 3 gallons
3.3 lb. Light malt extract
3.3 lb. Wheat extract
1 lb. Turbinado sugar
whirlfloc and wyeast beer nutrient added at 10 minutes
Hops: 1.5 oz. Glacier (5.9% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Glacier (5.9% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: whitbred ale yeast(wyeast 1099)
dry yeast used for test batches, but I have been assured that it is the same stuff as the smack pack i wull use when i go full size.
Might do 2 packs or make a starter due to the high gravity.
Carbonation: 3 oz corn sugar and 6 oz lactose boiled for 10 minutes, coolded to 80 degrees and thuroughly mixed into botteling bucket.
Tasting: the first version was a bit weaker than expected, but tastes a lot like a lighter version of Lion stout. this versions adds 1/2 lb special B and steps up the dark crystal to up the malt flavor and body.
