Water: Really high quality well water.
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 10L
Steep: steep grains at 153-155 for 45 mins.
Sparge with half gallon 165 water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.144 2. gallons
5.5 lb. Light dry malt extract
10. oz. Honey
Hops: 1 oz. Amarillio (9.1% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: Safale US .04
Log: This was the first beer i had done in few years. Fairly typical brewing procedures for an American Pale Ale.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup priming sugar
Tasting:
Tasting: Citrusey Sweet, some pine note, a smooth malt body, then another short hop blast, rounded off by a mellow sweetness.
