A seductive dangerous ale with enough Malt flavor to balance the emense bittering hop additions.

10 oz. British chocolate
1 lb. Flaked barley
Mash: 68% efficiency
Mash in @ 150 for 60 minutes mash out @ 170
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.049 12.0 gallons
1 lb. Molasses
Irish Moss @ 10 min. to go in the boil.
Hops: 5.0 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 90 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
2.50 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 1 min.)
Yeast: * WLP026 Premium Bitter Ale Yeast
PLATINUM STRAIN – May/June
From Staffordshire, England. Fermentation gives a mild, but complex, estery character. Ferments strong and dry. Good for high gravity beers. Best for all English style ales, including bitters, milds, ESBs, porters, stouts, and barley wines.
