Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Water: carbon filtered tap water
Grain: 12 lb. American 2-row
10 lb. Wheat malt
Mash: 77% efficiency
step mash 140 for 20 minutes 150 for 20 minutes 160 for 20 minutes mashed out at 170 for 10 minutes and sparged at 170 for 45 minutes. I had two stuck sparges but just stirred and everything was fine.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.045 14 gallons
3 grams grains of paradise
zest from 3 lemons
zest from 2 oranges
Hops: 1 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: i have two I am going to try on two different batches the first is wlp051 and the second is wlp011
Log: brewed 3-15-09, went to secondary 3-22-09, kegged 4-5-09,
Tasting: this one is a keeper. when I tasted it it was only half carbonated but it was very good. very easy to drink
