Pale Ale 1-1-09 REV 1a

Wanted a lighter color but full flavor.REV1a is 2nd brewing of this
from Pale Ale 1-1-09.Purpose:Improve hop utilization and hop
character + improved head retention by eliminating dry hop additions.

Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Water: 1/2tsp.Gypsum in boil.
Grain: 6 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 65% efficiency
BIAB 153*f w/Dunk Out 168*f
An adaptation of Brew In A Bag where 2 gal. water is heated
in a separate pot and used as a rinse like a Mash Out on Batch
Sparging.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.055 3 gallons
Irish Moss 1-2tsps.
Hops: 0.25 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
0.60 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 40 min.)
0.30 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Nottingham Dry Yeast 6 grams (MR.Malty Calc.)
Log: NO dry Hops
Carbonation: 3.1 volumes Corn Sugar: 3.34 oz. for 2.75 gallons @ 70°F
