Type: All grain Size: 13 gallons
Color:
7 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 67 IBU
OG: 1.058 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Water: All water RO with 2 tsp. brewing salts added to mash tun.
Grain: 19 lb. Breiss pale
.5 lb. Rahr Red Wheat malt
2.5 lb. Weyerman German Munich
.5 lb. Breiss American crystal 40L
1 lb. Weyerman Carafoam
Mash: 87% efficiency
Masher in at 165°F to rest at 150-155°F for 1 hour. Recirculate wort
with RIMS system throughout mash. Raise to 165°F for mash out
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.050 15 gallons
Add 1 Tablespoon Irish moss at last 15 Min. of boil
Hops: 1 oz. Palisades-plugs (8.3% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Northern Brewer- pellet (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade-plug (6.1% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade-plug (6.1% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Cascade-plug (6.1% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade-plug (6.1% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 900 ml. starter of Wyeast 1056 American Ale yeast, used stir plate.
Log: Fermenting in water bath at 72-74°F.
