The Obfuscator

Obfuscate (v):

Beer: The Obfuscator Style: Belgian Dubbel
Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
26 HCU (~14 SRM)
Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.086 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 9.5% v/v (7.5% w/w)
Water: 1 TBS 5.2 Mash Stabilizer and 1 tsp gypsum for mash.
Grain: 7 lb. Belgian Pilsner
4 lb. Belgian Munich
4 oz. Belgian Biscuit
4 oz. Belgian Special B
4 oz. Belgian Aromatic
1 lb. 4 oz. Wheat malt
Mash: 80% efficiency
1.3 quarts per pound at 153°F for 90 min. Continuously sparge with 190°F water to attain 6.5 gal.
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.073 6.5 gallons
1 lb. Brown Sugar
1 lb. Black Locust Honey
Add Brown Sugar for 10 minutes of boil. Then follow hop schedule. 1 tsp Irish Moss for last 15 minutes. Add honey for last 5 minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. Tettenanger (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1762 - Belgian Abbey II
Log: AERATE WELL!!! Primary for 7 days at 75°F. Secondary for 14 days at 75°F.
Carbonation: Keg and force carbonate.
