Steep: Steep grains for 30 minutes tea bag and remove, Roast one pound of wheat @350 for 10-15 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.043 6.5 gallons
6 lb. Wheat extract
Hops: .75 oz. Hallertauer Hersbrucker (5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: WLP300 Hefeweizen Ale Yeast
This famous German yeast is a strain used in the production of traditional, authentic wheat beers. It produces the banana and clove nose traditionally associated with German wheat beers and leaves the desired cloudy look of traditional German wheat beers.
