I Have not tried this recipe yet. I will cook it up 2-15-09, I will make a note of how it turned out in a month or so.

Beer: standard ale Style: American Amber Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
31 HCU (~16 SRM)
Bitterness: 48 IBU
OG: 1.063 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: carbon filtered tap water
Grain: 1 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 60L
Steep: steep for 60 minutes at 165° in .5 gallons of water. add steeped water to boil. Dip grain bag a couple of times in the boil, do not squeeze the bag
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.063 5 gallons
3.3 lb. Light malt extract
3 lb. Amber dry malt extract
add Irish moss at the last 20 minutes of the boil, add enough water to bring you up to the 5 gallons after running the boil through your chiller.
Hops: 1 oz. centennial (8.4% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. centennial (8.4% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. saaz (2.6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. saaz (2.6% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: WLP001 California ale, no starter
Log: brewed on 2-15-09. Fermentation temp was 68 to 72,I transfered to secondary on 2-28-09. Gravity is 1.016 at transfer. bottled on 3-7-09 with .75 cups priming sugar final gravity is .016
