Tadpole Porter (vanilla)

Another variation on the famous St. Chuck's. Thanks to Bill Pierce for a fantastic porter recipe. We steeped six split and scraped Mexican vanilla beans in about 8oz bourbon for a week before adding to the two 5-gallon primaries after major fermentation had subsided.

8 oz. Flaked barley
24 oz. Belgian Special B
Steep: Steep to 155*
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.054 11.6 gallons
12.5 lb. Light dry malt extract
Irish Moss at 15 minutes
Hops: 1 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Yakima Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: WLP002
Carbonation: Force carbonated in corny kegs
