1st batch pale ale

First attempt at extract and specialty grain brewing.

Color:
16 HCU (~10 SRM)
Bitterness: 52 IBU
OG: 1.039 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 3.8% v/v (3.0% w/w)
Grain: .5 lb. Crystal Malt 80L
.5 lb. Crystal Malt 40L
Steep: ° Steeped 1/2 lb of Crystal 80L and 1/2 lb of Crystal 40L in 1 gallon water.
° Raised temp to 75C, added grains, put on lid and took pot off the heat.
° Steeped for 30 mins
° Sparged with 1/2 gallon cold water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.059 4 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 1.5 oz. Perle (8.4% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Centennial (7.7% AA, 2 min.)
.75 oz. Cascade (7.4% AA, 30 min.)
.75 oz. Cascade (7.4% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 22g dried Nottingham ale yeast
Log: Primary for 7 days at ~15C
Secondary for 14 days at ~10C
Tasting: Tastes bloody great! Quite bitter with a hoppy nose. Very happy and ready to start the next.
