Grain: 1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Nylon bag for 20 minutes @ 160
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.135 3 gallons
3 lb. Dark dry malt extract
6 lb. 6 oz. Wheat extract
8 oz. Honey
Hops: 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 3068
Log: 1.5 weeks primary
2 weeks secondary
Bottle conditioned
Carbonation: 5 oz Corn sugar mixed in the bottling bucket
Tasting: Delicious! Even after only 1 week in the bottles has a nice level of carbonation. The yeast really produces the flavor profile of a true German Hefe style.
