Type: All grain Size: 3.5 gallons
Color:
10 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 107 IBU
OG: 1.075 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 8.4% v/v (6.6% w/w)
Water: teaspoon gypsum
Grain: 8 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. Flaked rye
1 lb. American crystal 20L
Mash: 75% efficiency
IN @ 130°for 30 minutes
Rest @150°-160° for 90 minutes
OUT @ 170° for 15 minutes
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.058 4.5 gallons
teaspoon Irish moss
Hops: 2 oz. Cluster (6% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Cluster (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: i used 11.5g dry SafAle US 5 yeast .
Start in pint warm wort 3hrs before mash
Log: I think my rest temp was a litle high , so i think its not putting out 8.5% alchohol..more like mid 6's...next time ill watch those temps!
Carbonation: 3/4 cup prime sugar at bottling
Tasting: Fruity Nose
Mellow and Hoppy
