Matt/Dan American Stout

This will be my first American Stout brew, I hope it turns out good.

Recipe is with in the style guidelines.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
174 HCU
Bitterness: 58 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: -
Alcohol: -
Water: Tap water that is filtered.
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 40L
8 oz. American chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
1 lb. Roasted barley
8 oz. Flaked barley
Steep: 30 minutes at 154F Do not squeeze bag, as black patent malt can easily produce astringent and over bitter flavors.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.101 3.25 gallons
8 lb. Light malt extract
Irish Moss added at 15 minutes left of boil.
Hops: 2 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs California Ale WLP-001
Carbonation: Standard 3/4 cup corn sugar to 16 oz of water boiled for 5 minutes.
