Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
29 HCU (~15 SRM)
Bitterness: 23 IBU
OG: 1.052 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.9% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. German Munich
4 oz. British brown
1 lb. American crystal 40L
8 oz. Melanoidin
Steep: Steep grains @ 150° for 30 minutes in 1 to 2 gallons of water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.052 5 gallons
3 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. Amber dry malt extract
2 lb. Light malt extract
Add Whirl-floc tablet 15 minutes before end of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Liberty (4% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Styrian Goldings (5.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Kolsch White Labs WLP029
Carbonation: Natural in bottle.
