Bitterness: 35 IBU
OG: 1.060 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: Filtered, r/o and mercury vapor steralizer at the local supermarket. Tampa water is filthy.
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 60L
4 oz. American chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
Steep: At 160 deg. f for 45 minutes and then dunked and drained several times to sparge.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.101 3 gallons
6.6 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Irish moss at 15 minutes left in boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Cluster (6.9% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cluster (6.9% AA, 40 min.)
.75 oz. Willamette (4.7% AA, 20 min.)
.75 oz. Willamette (4.7% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: Munton's Ale
Log: Brewed 7/25 and racked to secondary at 7/31. Boiled really hard and carmelized a lot of the malt extract. Smells good, very sweet smelling.
Carbonation: 2.2 volumes Keg: 11.4 psi @ 45°F
