This beer is our first attempt at utilizing more of the empty carboy space by cooking 5.5 gallons instead of 5 gallons.

Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 10L
2 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: We used American crystal 15L instead of 10L.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.086 3.5 gallons
5 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 lb. 8 oz. Dark dry malt extract
We added a clarification tab with 5 minutes left in the boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (6.8% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (4.6% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: WLP013 London Ale
Tasting: Cooked- 4/14/08
Racked- 4/27/08
Bottled- 5/12/08
Yield- 656 fluid ounces

There was no water in the airlock when we went to bottle this batch.
