Hop Shortage

Using up leftover hops.

Beer: Hop Shortage Style: Light American Pale Ale
Type: All grain Size: 11.5 gallons
Color:
3 HCU (~3 SRM)
Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Water: Fivestar 5.2 and crushed campden tablets in all brewing water.
Grain: 20 lb. German Pilsner
Mash: 80% efficiency
Single infusion mash at 150F, recirc for 60 minutes. Mashout at 170F.
Fly sparge with 175F water to collect 12 gallons.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.045 13.5 gallons
Hops: .5 oz. Simcoe (13% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (4% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham
