Norseman Pale Ale

A delicious blend of Columbus, Perle, and Northern Brewer hops will rape and pillage your tastebuds.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
24 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 43 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.019
Alcohol: 4.4% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 40L
8 oz. American crystal 120L
6 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: grains steeped for 15 minutes at 155°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.059 4.5 gallons
6 lb. 11 oz. Light malt extract
Actual hops used for aroma were Columbus. I adjusted alpha percentage, so the IBU calculation should still be spot on.
Hops: .5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Perle (6.9% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Perle (6.9% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (aroma)
Yeast: Safale US-05
Log: Fermented at 68° for two weeks, then primed and bottled.
Carbonation: Primed with 4.5 ounces of corn sugar at bottling.
Tasting: Tasted awesome at bottling. Can't wait till its had some time in the bottles.
