Alcohol: 3.8% v/v (2.9% w/w)
Water: used bottled water, added tsp of calcium carbonate to mash
Grain: 14 lb. American 2-row
1.0 lb. American victory
1.5 lb. Corn (raw)
1.0 lb. Rice (raw)
Mash: 60% efficiency
cracked rice and corn with some pale malt held at 145f for 10 minutes then boiled for 5 minutes to gelatinize. add some bottled water to cool, then added into the mash before reaching starch conversion temp.
mash 145f for 60 minutes, then 30 minutes at 156f, then 10 minutes at 168. sparge
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.033 12 gallons
Hops: 2 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: this is my first 10 gal. batch, which I split into 2- 5gal. buckets with California ale and Irish ale
