Special Brownies

A solid recipe for an English Brown. Shouldn't go too wrong with this one. Enjoy.

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
58 HCU (~24 SRM)
Bitterness: 21 IBU
OG: 1.044 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.4% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Water: Distilled water, slightly hardened. Use your discretion.
Grain: 2 lb. British mild
4 lb. British brown
2 lb. American 2-row
Mash: 80% efficiency
Single Temp. Infusion. Nothing too fancy here!
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.037 6 gallons
Use malt dextrine to thicken it up, if desired.
Hops: .25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
.25 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)
.25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
.25 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
.25 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
.25 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Your favorite English Ale yeast should work splendidly.
