.5 lb. Wheat malt
2.5 lb. American Munich
.5 lb. Belgian aromatic
1 lb. American crystal 120L
.25 lb. American chocolate
.75 lb. American black patent
.25 lb. Roasted barley
Mash: 35% efficiency
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.134 2.25 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: .5 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
1.25 oz. Spalt (6.75% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (aroma)
2 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: German Lager Yeast
Log: Let ferment in primary for 8 days at room temperature. Then racked to secondary and placed in near freezing temps for 1 month.
Tasting: Tastes alcoholic and "porter-esque". Needed at least 3-4 weeks of bottle conditioning before it reached this pinnacle.
