Alcohol: 9.0% v/v (7.1% w/w)
Grain: 2 lb. German Vienna
0.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Steep special grains at 135-155 for approx 45 min.
Boil: 60 min minutes SG 1.129 3.5 gallons
9 lb. Light malt extract
.5 lb. Munich malt extract
1.5 lb. Honey
Irish Moss (10 min)
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 20 min.)
0.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 7 min.)
Yeast: I pitched this on a california ale least cake. I have found that strain to be extremely clean and crisp with little to no off flavors for any beer. It is also very tolerant for temp changes and high alchol content beers like this one. (White Labs Cali Ale WLP001)
