Beer: Dark Copper Ale Style: Traditional Bock
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
41 HCU (~19 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.077 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 7.4% v/v (5.8% w/w)
Water: I have a filter on my refrigerator and this is the water I used.
Grain: 8 oz. American Vienna
6 oz. American crystal 120L
2 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: I used a disposable hops bag.
Boil: minutes SG 1.129 3 gallons
6 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. 6 oz. Light dry malt extract
1 lb. Corn sugar
14 oz. Cane sugar
Hops: 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: I used the cheapest and in my opinion most consistent, Munton's 6 gram yeast and I started it with about 6 ounces light DME in warm water for around 30-45 minutes to get it going.
Log: 01-05-08 Made Wort and put into primary fermenter
01-19-08 but into bottling bucket
Carbonation: I used regular corn sugar mixed in with warm water to dissolve and added to each bottle.
Tasting: Haven't tasted it yet...
