Slammin' Ale

More of a dark ale than pale, but didn't fit that style either with the
hoppiness. I actually used Summit hops instead of the Eroica, so bumped
up the alpha accordingly.

Bitterness: 28 IBU

Grain: 2 lb. 8 oz. German Munich
4 oz. American crystal 40L
2 lb. 8 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 42% efficiency
Held grains at 120° for 20 minutes, increased to 140° for 10, increased to 155° for 10, and brought the whole thing up to 170° before shutting off the heat and sparging.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.117 2 gallons
3 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Added 1 TSP Irish Moss at 45 minutes, and 1/2 oz Galena at 55 minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. Eroica (17% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Galena (aroma)
Yeast: Munton's ale yeast; pitched at 69°
