Alcohol: 5.7% v/v (4.5% w/w)
Water: 1 tspn Gypsum
Grain: 9.5 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Belgian CaraMunich
2 lb. British crystal 70-80L
.5 lb. American chocolate
Mash: 66% efficiency
1.25 qts strike water/lb grain. 1 qt sparge water/lb grain. Single infusion mash. 156° rest for 60 min.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.062 5 gallons
Irish moss (1 tspn at 15 min)
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (7.2% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Willamette (4.5% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: White Labs London Ale
Log: 8 days in primary; 7 days in secondary.
Carbonation: 5 oz corn sugar/5 gallons.
Tasting: Nice mild hop flavor/aroma, yet malt still dominates. Slightly roasty/chocloate flavor from chocolate malt. Very good beer!
