Steep: Put crushed grains in a nylon steeping bag. Steep grains at 155° F in 1.7 gallons of water for 45 minutes. Rinse grains with 0.75 gallons of water at 170°.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.108 2.5 gallons
3.3 lb. Light malt extract
3.3 lb. Dark malt extract
Add ~0.8 gallons of boiling water to make 3 gallons.
Add 1.00 oz Chinook hops, and 0.25 oz Cascade hops for 60 minutes
- Add 0.50 oz Chinook hops, and 0.25 oz Cascade hops for 45 minutes.
- Add 0.25 oz Chinook hops, and 0.50 oz Cascade hops for 30 minutes.
- Add 0.25 oz Chinook hops, and 1.00 oz Cascade hops, and 3.3 lbs light liquid malt extract, 3.3 lbs dark liquid malt extract, and Irish Moss for 15 minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
.25 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
.35 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 30 min.)
.50 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
.25 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1332 (Northwest Ale) yeast.
