Liberty Warrior Wheatness

Liberty Warrior Wheatness is a very strong ale, drink at your own risk.

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
14 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 38 IBU
OG: 1.108 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 11.6% v/v (9.1% w/w)
Water: 1 gram Calcium Carbonate.
1 gram MSO4
Grain: 6 lb. American 2-row
6 lb. American 6-row
2 lb. Wheat malt
6 oz. American crystal 90L
3 oz. Flaked barley
3 oz. Flaked rye
Mash: 79% efficiency
174° Strike temp, Lauder grains for 2 hours.
Added a unpeeled sliced green granny apple to acidify the Mash PH.
The spent mash makes a good bowl of grains for breakfast and the goats just love it so much they will knock you over to get at it!
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.090 6 gallons
3 lb. Corn sugar
5 oz. Maple syrup
Whilfloc tablet added to end of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Liberty (4% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Nugget (12% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Warroir (16% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 11.5 grams Windsor Yeast, 4 grams yeast nutrient in 2000ml 90° water.
Log: Use a coil chiller to cool. At 80° fill twin fermenters each halfway to allow foam space, pitch yeast at 75°.
Carbonation: Rack to keg 2 atmospheres for a serious foamy head.
Tasting: This is a very strong ale be careful, mix with food!
