Winter weak sauce

The second brew in my experiments with lower alcohol beers. This beer
is intended as something of a session beer as well as a lower calorie
alternative to your typical winter warmer.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
78 HCU (~30 SRM)
Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.040 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 3.5% v/v (2.8% w/w)
Water: Straight tap water
Grain: 2 oz. American crystal 120L
8 oz. American chocolate
1 oz. American black patent
Steep: Place grains in a hop bag, drop in cold water, remove when water comes to a boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.079 2.5 gallons
4 lb. Dark malt extract
.5 lb. Brown sugar
.5 lb. Cane sugar
Hops: .5 oz. Nugget (13.3% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Nugget (13.3% AA, 15 min.)
Tasting: Will update tasting notes after the beer is kegged.
