Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
79 HCU (~30 SRM)
Bitterness: 17 IBU
OG: 1.072 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 7.0% v/v (5.5% w/w)
Water: Duxbury Tap Watre
Grain: 8 oz. Belgian biscuit
12 oz. American crystal 40L
12 oz. Belgian Special B
2 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: Steep grains in 2.5 gallons of water at 155° for 10-15 min
Remove and rinse with .5 gallons of water at 165°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.133 3 gallons
6 lb. 6 oz. Amber malt extract
3 lb. 0 oz. Amber dry malt extract
1/2 tsp Irish moss at 15 min.
Hops: 2.0 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
.50 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs 028 - Edinburgh Ale Yeast
Log: Pitch Yeast when wort is at or below 78°
Ferment for 10-14 days at 63°-75°
Carbonation: 5oz. of priming sugar boiled in 1 cup of water for 5 min.
Add to bottling bucket
Siphon from primary and bottle
Bottle condition for 14 days @ 63°-75°
