Trying to clone the famous Sand Creek Brewing Co. Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout from Black River Falls, WI.

60 HCU (~25 SRM)
Bitterness: 28 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 4.2% v/v (3.3% w/w)
Water: Using purchased water. No other treatment.
Grain: 1 lb. British pale
1 lb. 2 oz. American Munich
4 oz. British brown
4 oz. British chocolate
3 oz. Carafa III Special
5 oz. Flaked oats
6 oz. American victory
8 oz. British crystal 50-60L
Steep: Steeped for 60 minutes at 152°F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.069 4 gallons
6.0 lb. Light malt extract
Irish Moss 1 tsp added at the start of the boil.
Hops: 2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1968 London ESB Yeast - yeast cake from prior batch
Log: Not going to aerate the wort to try to keep the FG high in the range to get a sweet result. Ferment one week at 68°F, transfer to secondary for another week at 68°F.
Carbonation: Bottle with 3/4 cup of corn sugar.
