Beer: Knucklehead IPA v2.0 Style: India Pale Ale
Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
22 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 90 IBU
OG: 1.065 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: Tap water with 1 TBS 5.2 stabilizer, 2 tsp gypsum.
Grain: 10 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. German Munich
8 oz. American victory
6 oz. American crystal 120L
5 oz. Special Roast
1 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 80% efficiency
155°F for 90 minutes, pull one gallon decoction and add to 1 gallon boiling water, bring to boil and reintroduce to mash tun to mash out at 162°F for 10 minutes, continuous sparge with 175°F water to collect 7.5 gallons in brew pot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.048 7.5 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Simcoe (12.2% AA, 75 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6.2% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Nugget (13.3% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Simcoe (12.2% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Citra (13.4% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Columbus (14.4% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Citra, Whole Leaf (Dry Hop) (aroma)
Yeast: Safale US-05
Log: Ferment at 62°F.
Carbonation: Keg and force carbonate.
