Out of Town Brown

An American Brown Ale made with German and US hops. This beer was brewed with my little "Microbrewer" (Adam, 6 months old) while Mommy was in Germany for work.

Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons

41 HCU (~19 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.052 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: Tap water with 1 Tablespoon 5.2 stabilizer, 1 tsp gypsum
Grain: 6 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. American victory
1 lb. 9 oz. American crystal 120L
6 oz. Flaked barley
Mash: 80% efficiency
Single infusion, 60 minutes at 155F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.038 7.5 gallons
1 lb. Brown sugar
Hops: 1 oz. Mt. Hood (6.1% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (3.7% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham
Log: Primary 7-10 days at 66F, no secondary.
Carbonation: 2.2 volumes Keg: 8.1 psi @ 38°F
Keg and force carbonate.
