Alcohol: 9.3% v/v (7.3% w/w)
Water: Used bottled drinking water, 1 tsp of gypsum
Grain: 1 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 20L
Mash: 90% efficiency
Placed grains in 1/2 gallon water brought to 160 slowly and mashed for 60 min. used the other half gallon for 170 deg sparge to flush out grains after strained into boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.153 3 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 tsp irish moss @ 15 min.
Hops: 2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Yeast was a WYEAST Trappist High Gravity (3787)
Log: Brew Date: 11 March 2012/ Currently fermenting in primary @ 64- 66 deg. will sit in Primary for 2 weeks then secondary for 4 weeks or until FG is @ 1.020 then bottle for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to tasteing.
Carbonation: I will use 3/4 cup of corn sugar prior to bottling.
