Alcohol: 8.6% v/v (6.7% w/w)
Water: Filtered and softened city water.
Grain: 2 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. American crystal 40L
.5 lb. American crystal 90L
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
.5 lb. Flaked corn
.5 lb. Flaked rice
Steep: Steep grains in a grain bag for 60 min at 155 degrees in 3 gallons of water. Sparge with 1 gallon of water at 170 degrees. Remove from heat and stir in LME to prevent scorching.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.127 3 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
Irish Moss added with 15 min left in boil.
Hops: .5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.125 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
.125 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Saf-Lager 05
Carbonation: 2.7 volumes Keg: 20.1 psi @ 50°F
Tasting: May increase the IBU by increasing the Cascade and Kent Goldings to .25 ounces
