2 oz. Roasted barley
8 oz. Flaked oats
Steep: 30 minutes @ 150° F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.079 3 gallons
4 lb. Light dry malt extract
7 oz. Brown sugar
1 tsp. Irish Moss
Hops: .75 oz. Fuggles (3.4% AA, 45 min.)
.75 oz. Kent Goldings (5.3% AA, 45 min.)
Yeast: Edinburgh Ale yeast WLP028 (Scottish)
Log: Brewed 10/8/06
Racked to secondary 10/11/06
Made less than 4.5 gallons after fermentation was complete
Bottled 10/22/06
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar at bottling.
Tasting: Overall not a bad tasting beer. On a scale of 1 to 5, about a 3.
Would not be considered as my top recipe.
