Nessie Wee

Had a yeast cake of 1728 and decided to try to brew a Wee Heavy to dump on it. I'm sticking to a very simple recipe, using ingredients I have around the house, and using some homegrown hops (cascades) for bittering. Just guessing at the %AA. I like the complexity in Skull Splitter and want to try to boil down some of the first runnings to get some heavy carmel/toffee flavors.

Color:
18 HCU (~11 SRM)
Bitterness: 31 IBU
OG: 1.094 FG: 1.026
Alcohol: 8.8% v/v (6.9% w/w)
Water: FiveStar 5.2 and crushed campdem tablets in all brewing water.
Grain: 16 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 60L
Mash: 75% efficiency
Signle infusion mash at 152F. Hold and recirc for 60 minutes. Mashout at 170F for 5. Boil first gallon of runoff down to a quart on the stove and add to boil.
Boil: 120 minutes SG 1.059 8 gallons
Boil for however long it takes to get down to about 5.25 gallons. Throw in some irish moss near the end.
Hops: 1.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 90 min.)
Yeast: Dump on a cake of 1728.
Log: Visible fermentation within 1 hour.
